Easy to install practical and efficient

We have had this unit as our emergency back up since 2017 after our 20+ yr old homes central air system went out. We used it for several months then while we saved to cash flow a complete install of central air system. Since then we store it in the garage and have used it at least once a year for a few days and weeks at most due to made weather power outages or other circumstances. We power it with a 9000W HB Predator Generator. It cools our main bedroom with ease.

Dont buy this product. You will not be happy with the cooling results. Nor will you be happy with the product support from LG. I purchased this unit in August of 2023. I installed it but did not use during the remainder of the year. I started to to operate the unit in April 0f 2024 and began to notice the insufficient cooling. At its lowest set point temperature it would cycle on for a minute and then shut down for several minutes. I notified LG about the issue. They gave me a case # CNN240417604725 but never followed up or get back to me with a solution. Now in June of 2024 during the heat wave in NC when I really need the product to perform as expected it barely puts out any cold air for any length of time. At its lowest temperature set point 60 degrees F it cycles on for a minute and then off for about two minutes. It never stays on long enough to perform 8000 btu/hr cooling.

Terrible insulation

The heatproof foam that attaches to the side curtains doesnt stick and falls off so there is no insulation on the sides. I called the customer service 3 times and got sent the wrong part every time.

Customer service is very poor. 2 out of the 24 air conditioners I purchased were defective and the return process is still on going since September and I had to be the one to reach out several times. As of December 13th I am still waiting for someone to call to schedule the drop off of the replacement air conditioner.

I bought two LG window mount air conditioners as a backup for my whole house air conditioner for when the outside power grid goes down. I have a mid-sized plug-in generator connected to a switching panel and the main electrical panel in the garage. It is very easy to attach the included spacer side pieces to ensure a tight seal to the sides of the windows. They can quickly and easily be moved to other windows as necessary. I have tested both and found they are exceptionally quiet and began cooling very quickly. Exactly what I wanted at a fair price and now have peace of mind we will remain comfortable during power outages. Thanks LG

I bought this a month ago and I wish I had bought it before the summer heat. My old window AC blew kept my bedroom cool but it was so loud I could hardly sleep. It also flung a lot of water and I constantly had to sweep the water away. The LG is quiet. Set on low I hardly notice its running and it keeps my bedroom pleasantly cool. The thermostat works very well. Hopefully this will keep the energy cost down. I love the fact that it has a drain plug

The cooling function meets expectations after 2 months. The one negative is that the remote control stopped working after one week. Everyone at the customer service desk was as nice as could be but somehow getting the replacement actually sent took a month. Finally got it after 4 or 5 very nice conversations with very nice agents. Happily controlling. my new air conditioner remotely now. No sweat Life is good.

Unit does not cool. Compressor short cycles and does not operate properly. I called customer service twice to report the problem and they will not agree to investigate the issue. I purchased two of these units and the other one operates perfectly. I was informed the unit was too small for my room. If it doesnt blow cold air then it is too small for any room. The other unit works just fine in a room twice as large. LG refuses to honor the warranty. Very disappointed.

Quietest Air Conditioner Ive Ever Owned

I installed this air conditioner about a month ago and I am VERY impressed with it. Installation was a breeze and I liked how it included solid foam panels for additional insulation in the window opening. Ive owned a number of air conditioners over the years and hands down this LG LW8016ER is the QUIETEST and it REALLY COOLS the air. I purchased it on the LG website with FREE SHIPPING. It was a great price and it arrived very quickly.

I purchased this AC unit to replace a Fridgedare that was only 2 years old. I didnt realize how poorly the old unit was preforming until I bought this LG. It put out very cold air and isnt too noisy. I have only been using the economy setting. It also has a remote.

Great window unit with remote

I bought this window unit for my Garage to keep it nice and cool in the summertime. So far its been awesome with no issues. Runs quiet and keeps things nice and cool I have my classic muscle car in the garage and it keeps the humidity low.

We bought this same model last year for our bedroom and it works so well that we got one for another space in the house It cools quickly and I love that I can set the timer if I am out for the day. Easy filters to clean too

My son bought this same air conditioner and loved it so I bought one. Days after using it the remote quit. Anything mechanical can break. So I called the company and gave them the information. About 8 or 9 days later I had a new remote in the mail which has worked just fine. I was so pleased that my girlfriend also bought the same air conditioner. Cant say enough about the LG brand. So glad I bought this one. Love the features and it keeps my livingroom and kitchen cool. It is also great for my dog. As he has gotten older he just cant stand the heat anymore. With this one he no longer pants all the time.

Had this model for a month and it is working great. Love the feature where it comes on to check the room temp and then it decides if it needs to run. Not real quiet but its not bad. I dont believe any air conditioner can run quietly. It is quieter then the portable one we had and works better

We have a nee 8000 BTU LG Air Conditioner in our bedroom and it cools the room quickly and it is the most quiet air conditioner we have owned. It is easy to use energy efficient and was not hard to install. When the time comes to replace our other Unit we will definitely get another LG.
